On Monday 20 September 2010 IxDA Nederland organizes the sixth edition of Design by Fire Café. Design by Fire Café is an informal gathering for (interaction) designers. Each café will feature a short, inspiring presentation as tapas for discussion.

Design in open source
The usability of opensource software is probably one the biggest roadblocktowards adoption. We will take a look at the Drupal community, which made a big step towards a better user experience in the past year.
We will cover the many challenges a development oriented community brings, walking through a few initiatives from usability testing, concept to implementation.
Bojhan Somers is active within the Drupal community and as UX-Team lead a contributor to core development. Bojhan is currently running an internship at User Intelligence and focuses on design of complex (web) applications.

Traveling with public transport: Take bus 2 (‘Museumlijn’) from station Utrecht Centraal. Get off at bus stop ‘Tolsteegbrug’. This bus stop is oppositie the Louis Hartlooper Complex.
