Hands-on Workshops

Design by Fire Workshops are hands-on trainings by experts. The maximum group size of 20 participants guarantees a valuable learning experience.

The workshops took place on , in Utrecht. This year we hand-picked two full day and two half day workshops.

Conference on Interaction Design

The fifth Design by Fire Conference took place on Friday 14 October, from 9:30 to 18:30 in Utrecht.

The conference featured a full day of inspirational and pioneering sessions for anyone who practices interaction design, information design or experience design. Like last year, all 200 seats were sold out.

Cinema (and Drinks)

Exclusively for attendees of Design by Fire 2011, we turned Café-Restaurant Lofen in an Upload Cinema on Thursday night. On screen that night was 'Me The Media', a compilation of web films, showing us people who are their own media.

Nice words about Design by Fire 2010

Kars Alfrink (Hubbub) said: It is still the best conference on interaction design in the Netherlands. And I really appreciate the fact that the organizers continue to take risks with who they put on stage.

Peter Boersma (Adaptive Path) said: The conference had a good vibe, great food, and a couple of surprising sessions such as a dance/acrobatics performance and Ianus Keller's clay homunculus modeling exercise.
